Entering our terrible twos
N.B. This post referred to v1 of our site
Hello and happy holidays. Much has been going on down here in TBG-land. First off, happy birthday to us. Yes, on December 11, 2003 The Barbarian Group LLC turned two years old. Of course we celebrated this in style with 200 of our closest friends, and thank you all for a great party and a great year.
All this aging and partying hasn’t slowed us down with the work, though. No siree. In fact, we’ve been busier than ever. We’ve got new Barbarians for you to meet. We’d like to introduce you to two of our newest Barbarians, Jillian and Kevin. You’ll come to know and love them just like the rest of us, like we already do. They’ve been dance tested, Barbarian approved.
And then there’s the work. We’re giving you four new sites here, but this is just a sampling of the mad amounts of new sites we’re working on. First, we have our first site for a new client, Tecmo Inc. This is a site for Fatal Frame 2, a new PlayStation game. This site is unlike anything we’ve done before – dark, foreboding, complex and lyrical. You’ll love it as much a we do. Honest.
Next we have another new client, Discover Card. Along with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, we built this Gift Finder for Discover Card. Looking for a gift for that special someone? Well look no further! Discover Card, along with some choice vendor partners, has got what you’re looking for. And to make the whole thing more attractive to those new media addicts such as yourself, we’ve added four completely over-the-top e-cards. Really primo holiday stash, trust us.
Finally, of course, are our near-and-dear existing clients. You didn’t think we’d leave them in the lurch did you? No, we remember our roots. First up we have a new site for Volkswagen and Arnold Worldwide, for the new Jetta. Not sure why it’s a new Jetta? Can’t tell the difference from the old one? Well you’re in luck! This handy-dandy Flash-based before-and-after game (man, that’s a lot of hyphens) will set you straight. This leads us to our final site, version 3 of Nike ACG. Little babysite is all grown up! The third incarnation of NikeACG.com is leaner, meaner and far, far more sophisticated on the technology side (But we won’t bore you with that today. It’s pretty awesome, though).
Look for more sites coming up in the new year. In the meantime, have a happy new year and remember to make a resolution and promptly break it.
