Ashley is a friendly developer who comes to Boston from Pittsburgh by way of a four year stint in New York City. In those halcyon times, she worked on the trading floor of an investment bank, as a teacher at the School of Visual Arts’ Continuing Education program, and as a Flash mistress and general technologist at the Chopping Block. She started at the Barbarian Group in 2006, and through that, initiated the downfall of her former wholesome, teetotalling ways. Like all the TBG developers, she does a wide variety of things (mostly code-things), but currently her main focus is in Ruby and Rails and learning about Agile development methodologies.

Ashley has a BS in Computer Science with a Minor in Art from Carnegie Mellon University. She used up her one career-long pagecurl on a college Flash project making a Choose Your Own Adventure book entitled ‘You Are An Angler Fish’.
